Steppin Straight was established in 1999 by trainer Jayme Andersen. After a number of years riding and showing Quarter Horses, Paints and Arabians in a variety of disciplines, Jayme rode her first Walker. She fell in love and decided to move to Walking Horses exclusively.

Since it's inception Steppin Straight has had the privilege of working with many wonderful, talented horses and riders. We have trained multiple futurity champions, numerous first place winners and many great trail and pleasure horses. All horses are treated as individuals; all are handled with patience and understanding. We specialize in the NATURAL plantation gait. We do not use artificial gimmicks. We believe that horses should have proper respect and manners but at the same time they should still get to be a horse. The results are seen in the show ring and on the trail. We adhere to the horse protection act 110%. Jayme began riding Tennessee walking horses and competing in 1997, showing all over California at shows that promote the NATURAL, sound horse.

We believe that showing is supposed to be a friendly environment, where everyone should be able to enjoy themselves and maybe even take home that blue. Even if you have never been in the show arena before we can help get you ready. Jayme's versatility and experience can help you to succeed at what ever your goals may be.
