We encourage everyone to become educated on the plight of orcas (killer whales) held in captivity for entertainment. Holding these highly-intelligent, social animals in tanks serves no purpose other than making money for their captors.
Here at AnimalPages, we are not anti-zoo. Wildlife parks and aquariums are often educational and many work hard to better the lives of their animals and/or reestablish populations of endangered animals. The orcas (and other dolphins) held for entertainment do not serve any useful purpose for the individual animals or their species.
